Road closure to start Monday in Crittenden County

Crittenden County Judge-Executive Perry Newcom has announced that Hurricane Road in Northern Crittenden County will close starting Monday.

It will be closed so a culvert that carries a tributary to Caney Fork Creek can be replaced. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the closure is about two fifths of of a mile south of Kentucky 135 near the Hurricane Church Campground.

The closure is expected to be in place through about Friday, Aug. 26.

KYTC is providing $35,000 in Emergency Road Aid Funds to help with the culvert replacement.
