Earthquake In Italy: Conflicting reports of deaths

CNN reports at least 2 deaths, Reuters reports at 6 deaths and people reporting on the ground in Italy say they’ve heard of six deaths.Right now, crews are searching through rubble trying to find victims, save survivors and make sure everyone is accounted for.

A 6.1 magnitude quake hit the Italian town of Amatrice late Tuesday night. The town’s mayor told state-run RAI radio and Sky RG24 that he needs heavy equipment to clear rubble-clogged streets to get to the injured.

The mayor said: "Look there are houses that aren’t here anymore. I hope we get some help."
The quake struck central Italy, near Rieti, shortly after 3:30 a.m. and was followed by several aftershocks.
