Soldier arrested after active shooter incident at Fort Campbell

There was an active shooter incident at Fort Campbell earlier in the day.

According to the U.S. Army Fort Campbell Facebook page, a 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) soldier was apprehended by military police after they responded to a report of an active shooter near the Campbell Army Airfield.

There are currently no reports of any injuries and the installation is secure.

The gates are open.

More details are expected to be released later.
