Investigation continues into plane crash in Hardin County, IL

More information has been released on a plane that crashed in Hardin County, Illinois on Thursday.

Illinois State Police say the pilot was a 59-year-old man. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There was also a passenger in the plane, a 69-year-old man. He was also taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The plane is owned by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified about the crash.

There is no word yet on what caused the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
