Police investigating overnight shooting in Cairo

Police are investigating an early morning shooting in Cairo.

Police Chief Arnold Burris says officers were called to the intersection of 24th and Sycamore around 1:14 a.m. on reports of a shooting.

Two people were reportedly shot. They were taken to local hospitals. The extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.

No word on any arrests or possible suspects at this time.

An investigation is ongoing.
