Portion of Paducah road to close for drainage pipe replacement

A portion of a Paducah road will be closed on Friday so that a drainage pipe can be replaced.

The city says the drainage pipe will be replaced on Kennedy Road. The road will be closed to traffic between Miller and Meadow Lane.

No through traffic will be allowed, but accommodations will be made for people who live in the area.

The work will begin Friday morning. By Friday evening, a metal plate will be placed over the pipe replacement area so that traffic can resume.

The work is expected to take about one week. After Friday, crews expect to keep the road open to one lane of traffic.
