Charges dropped against former WPSD Local 6 meteorologist

All charges have been dropped against a former WPSD Local 6 meteorologist and her husband.

Commonwealth attorney David Hargrove says the charges were dropped on Monday.

In early February, Tyler and Victoria Smoyer were arrested and charged with drug and weapon charges.

Police say they were acting on an anonymous tip and found marijuana in the home.

Neither person was home at the time. Their attorney argued that it was an illegal search and the judge agreed.

Victoria Smoyer, as Tori Shaw, was a meteorologist and reporter at WPSD Local 6.
