Interstate 24 Ohio River bridge back open after being shut down due to loose barges

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says the Interstate 24 Ohio Bridge is back open to traffic.

The bridge was closed for a short time so that the US Coast Guard could capture barges that got loose on the river.

The bridge was reopened after the coast guard caught the barges.

The bridge was not hit by the barges.
