One injured in rollover wreck in McCracken County
A woman was taken to a local hospital after a rollover wreck on Monday, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies say the wreck happened around 1:50 p.m. on Monday in the 5500 block of Clinton Road.
They say 22-year-old Patrick Davis of Murray was headed eastbound on Clinton Road with passenger Kelsea Walls of Paducah in a 2003 Ford SUV. 18-year-old Breanna Riley of Paducah was headed westbound in a 2002 Chevrolet car.
Deputies say witnesses told them a westbound dump truck was passing Davis’ SUV, and Davis moved over in his lane to distance the SUV from the dump truck. The left side of the SUV dropped off the roadway, and deputies say Davis over corrected and lost control. The SUV hit Riley’s car, and then it overturned.
Walls had to be removed from the SUV by mechanical means and taken to a hospital for injuries described as non-incapacitating. Davis was cited by deputies for a charge of failing to have insurance on the vehicle.
Along with deputies, Mercy Regional EMS and the Lone Oak Fire Department responded to the wreck.
