Portion of meth lab found in car during traffic stop
LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KY —
A Livingston County sheriff’s deputy found portions of a meth lab in a car he pulled over.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a car around 2:00 a.m.
The deputy says the driver attempted to give the deputy her daughter’s personal information in order to evade identification.
The deputy also found portions of a meth lab inside the car as well as some methamphetamine.
The driver, 46-year-old Star Powers of West Paducah, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine 1st offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft of identification.
Her passenger, 36-year-old Derek Deen, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine 1st offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication, and was also served an outstanding warrant from Henderson County.
Both were taken to the McCracken County Jail.
Kentucky State Police were called in to clean up the active meth lab components.
