Eastbound I-24 near Grand Rivers, KY back open after semi fire

Eastbound Interstate 24 near Grand Rivers, Kentucky is back open after being blocked by a semi fire.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the semi caught fire in the eastbound lanes near exit 31.

The eastbound lanes were blocked for several hours.

The site has been cleared and all lanes are now open.

The semi was pulling double trailers which was filled with foodstuffs. Most of that cargo has burned.

No one was injured.
