Illinois Kicks Off Low Energy Assistance Program Enrollment

The state of Illinois is kicking off it’s low income energy assistance program enrollment. LIHEAP applications are available starting today for seniors and people with disabilities. People needing winter heating assistance want to have required documents on hand.

Proof of household income, a copy of current heat and electronic bills within last 30 days, rental agreement copy, proof of social security and proof of household received temporary assistance. Applications are on a first come first serve basis.
