McCracken County road reopens after erosion repaired

A road that was closed in McCracken County for erosion repairs is back open Thursday, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

Clinton Road has been closed at mile point 1.02 since Monday so a crane could be used to repair erosion and place new sheet piling at the Mayfield Creek Branch Bridge. That’s about a mile north of Melber and the county line with Graves County between Smokey Road and Jilson Road.

KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says the work is finished, and Clinton Road — which is part of Kentucky 339 — is back open.
