Caldwell County teen dies after four-wheeler crash

The Caldwell County coroner tells us a teenage boy has died after he was in a four-wheeler accident Sunday. 

Coroner Dewayne Trafford says Avery Warfield suffered a head injury despite the fact that he was wearing a helmet when the wreck happened. 

A viewing is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and a funeral is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home in Princeton, Kentucky. 

According to an obituary, the 14-year-old high school freshman passed away Sunday at the Caldwell County emergency room. 

Radio Station WKDZ reports that Warfield was a Caldwell County High School football player and the son of a Caldwell County paramedic.
