ISP searching for man considered armed and dangerous in Union County

The Illinois State Police says it’s looking for a Union County burglary suspect who is considered armed and dangerous.

ISP says 26-year-old Dejun Booker is one of five people suspected in the Sunday burglary of Revlon Tavern, wast of Ware, Illinois. The four others were arrested by Union County sheriff’s deputies and officers from the Anna and Cobden police departments. However, state troopers say Booker ran away from the scene.

A Union County deputy spotted someone matching Booker’s description Monday morning off of Illinois Route 146 near Dug Hill Lane, 2 miles east of Ware. ISP says law enforcement agencies have set up a perimeter and are searching for Booker.

Troopers say Booker is 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 240 pounds. He is described as having a muscular build and shoulder-length dreadlocks, and troopers say he was last seen wearing gray pants and no shirt.

ISP says if you see Booker, do not approach him. Troopers say to call 911, the Union County Sheriff’s Department at 618-833-5500, or the Illinois State Police at 618-542-2171 if you see him.
