Shawnee School District No. 84 closed Tuesday due to manhunt

Shawnee School District No. 84 Superintendent Shelly Clover-Hill says school is canceled for Tuesday due to a manhunt in Union County, Illinois. 

Clover-Hill says school is canceled for all schools in the district. All practices and activities are canceled as well.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are looking for 26-year-old Dejun Booker in Union County. Booker is considered a suspect in a burglary that happened Sunday. 

State police reported Monday afternoon that Booker is considered armed and dangerous, and was spotted Monday morning 2 miles east of Ware, where the burglary happened.
