Three high school students in Sevier County have been charged with raping a male classmate at school earlier this week.
Police say the accuser suffered no serious physical injuries in the Tuesday incident.
The Knoxville News Sentinel reports the three students at Sevier County High School were charged Friday with one count each of aggravated rape and taken to a juvenile detention facility. All three are under 18 and were not identified by police.
School officials learned of the accusation Thursday, police said. The school immediately contacted law enforcement and the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, according to police.
