McCracken County woman arrested at courthouse

A McCracken County woman was arrested at the McCracken County courthouse as she was going though the security checkpoint.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says 23-year-old Jessica Rogers of the Farley area came to the courthouse around 3:00 p.m. Thursday to conduct some business.

As she went through the security checkpoint, her purse was scanned with the x-ray machine and deputies saw what looked like a knife inside the purse.

The purse was checked manually. Inside was a toy pistol, a methamphetamine smoking pipe, digital scales, and a prescription controlled substance.

Rogers was currently out of jail on a $2,500 bond for an arrest in May of this year for trafficking in methamphetamine and other charges.

She was arrested at the courthouse and charged with possession of 1st degree controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a 3rd degree controlled substance.

Rogers was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
