Mother demands answers after bus leaves child on roadside

The mother of a little girl in Illinois is demanding answers. She says her 7-year-old daughter was left alone on the side of the road.

Her daughter was supposed to go to after care at an elementary school in suburban Chicago. Somehow, she got on the wrong bus. Instead of taking her back to school, the mother says the bus driver let her daughter off on the side of the road.

"The bus driver didn’t seem to ask her where she was going or where her parents were. They just let her off," mother Britney Stevens says.

The girl walked to a nearby gas station where she got help. The school district says it’s reviewing the incident with the bus driver.
