TBI looking for information on man arrested in child rape case
Tennessee authorities are looking for more information about a man who was arrested in Kentucky, charged with the rape of a child.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says its agents arrested 46-year-old Toby Nathaniel Willis on Friday in Greenville, Kentucky, where the bureau says he traveled to avoid law enforcement. The TBI says Willis is charged with rape of a child regarding an incident it says happened 12 years ago with an underage girl.
Willis is the father on the reality TV show "The Willis Family" that airs on TLC. It focuses on the family’s music group involving the 12 children in the family.
Willis is jailed in the Muhlenberg County Jail on a fugitive from justice warrant, and the TBI says he will be taken to the Cheatham County Jail in Tennessee after he waived extradition in court Monday.
The TBI says Willis hitchhiked from Sheperdsville, which is just south of Louisville, to Greenville sometimes between Sept. 5 and 6. The bureau says Willis is believed to have accepted rides from at least two people, and it says agents want to speak with those people as part of the investigation.
The TBI says if you have relevant information, you can call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
