Arrest warrant issued in Willie Brown Jr. fatal shooting

The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad says it has issued an arrest warrant for a teenager in a fatal shooting that happened last week.

Willie Brown Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, was found dead in the 300-block of Hanover Street on Sept. 7. The 31-year-old had been shot, and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police say a 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder in Brown’s death. The teen is being held out of state on unrelated charges, and the major case squad says extradition arrangements are being made through the Cape Girardeau County Juvenile Office.
