Mayfield police find boy after search

Mayfield Police found a juvenile male who ignored a pick-up order and ran from them.

On Saturday, they were called to the area of the Garden Apartments on S. 12th St. and say the boy was armed with a gun. They chased him, but he made his way into a home at the corner of S. 7th St. and College St.

The boy made his way into the attic and refused to come down. With the help of Kentucky State Police, Graves County Sheriff’s Office and McCracken County K-9 Unit, the boy finally came out of the home.

He’s been charged with burglary, fleeing and evading, disorderly conduct, possession of a handgun by a minor and tampering with physical evidence.
