Man on motorcycle hit and killed by driver who fell asleep

A man who told McCracken County deputies he fell asleep while driving hit and killed a man on a motorcycle.

Deputies say James Duncan, 55, of Kevil, was driving eastbound on Blandville Road.  Andrew Davidson, 24, of Wickliffe, was westbound on Blandville Road and told deputies he fell asleep and crossed the center line.

Davidson hit Duncan, who was on his motorcycle.  He was thrown off.  He was taken to Baptist Health, but later died.

Davidson was not injured. Blandville Road was shut down for about an hour.  The road is now back open.
