Celebration scheduled regarding equipment donation to Paducah Fire Department

PADUCAH, KY – A donation of more than $15,000 of equipment to the Paducah Fire Department will be celebrated on Sunday at Firehouse Subs on Hinkleville Road.

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation says local firefighters and Firehouse Subs representatives will attend the celebration at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25 at the Firehouse Subs at 5194 Hinkleville Road in Paducah.

The Paducah Fire Department received self-contained breathing apparatus equipment, including six cylinders, 13 hoses and a mobile air cart. The foundation says the equipment is worth $15,125. The equipment will help firefighters breath when they are in situations where air quality is poor, and it will help them work in tight spaces without bulky equipment.
