Funeral to be held Thursday for Fulton County Sheriff Bobby Hopper

Many will be saying their final goodbyes to a long-time sheriff on Thursday.

The funeral for Fulton County Sheriff Bobby Hopper will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, Kentucky.

Hopper died Saturday night after a long fight with colon cancer.

He was 66 and the Fulton County sheriff for 22 years.

A motorcade will escort Hopper to the Cayce United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The motorcade is expected to depart around 2:30 p.m. and travel westward along Ky 129/State Line Street to US 45, then north to KY 166/Middle Road.  It will then travel westward to KY 239 before heading north to KY 94 and turning west to the cemetery.

Due to limited parking at the cemetery, those attending graveside service will have to park along KY 94 which will limit traffic flow through the area.
