Two car crash sends Mayfield man to the hospital

One person was injured in a two car crash Friday morning.

McCracken County sheriff’s deputies were called to John Puryear near Old Husbands Road and the exit 11 ramp around 5:50 a.m.

Deputies say 33-year-old Dustin Turner of Paducah was driving his car east on John Puryear when he said he failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic as he was turning left onto the on ramp and hit a truck.

The crash caused the truck to roll over two or three times before stopping about 230 feet from the crash site.

The driver of the truck, 38-year-old Chad Norton of Mayfield was taken to a local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. Norton was cited by deputies after he could not provide a valid insurance card.

An investigation is ongoing.
