Deputies: Man confessed to Hopkinsville killing

SUNDAY UPDATE: Deputies identified the man who died as Bobby Jones, 62. They have not released his cause of death.

ORIGINAL STORY:  Christian County deputies arrest a man and charge him with murder after another man’s body was found at a home Saturday.

Deputies arrested Bradley Profitt, 53, of Hopkinsville, after they say he admitted to killing a man who was found at 11248 Dawson Springs Road.  Detectives tracked Profitt down based on information collected during the investigation to an address on Boales Street.  He was questioned and confessed, according to deputies.

The name of the man who died has not been released.  Profitt is charged with murder, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle and three counts of theft of a firearm.

Profitt is in the Christian County Jail on $100,00 bond.
