Murray man arrested, police seize guns, ammunition and ‘explosives paraphernalia’
A Murray man was arrested Sunday on 18 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the Kentucky State Police.
Troopers say 48-year-old Ray Powers was arrested Sunday. He was also charged with 8 counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
A trooper found 18 long guns and eight handguns while investigating information KSP had received, state police say, as well as body armor, "explosives paraphernalia" and "a substantial amount" of ammunition.
Powers was jailed in the Calloway County Jail. KSP notes that the firearms charges are both felonies.
