Weakley Co. deputies looking for suspects who set garage on fire

The Weakley County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding the people responsible for the vandalism of a car and the burning of a garage and a mobile home.

On Saturday, September 24 at 2:00 a.m. Kevin Fuller of 104 Boxx Road near Sharon, Tennessee said he heard a loud noise outside his house and saw someone running down his driveway and then run north on Boxx Road. He then heard a type of off-road vehicle crank and leave the area.

Fuller found that his Nissan Altima had been beat up with a blunt object and spray painted with graffiti. He put the car into his garage until he could call his insurance company.

The next night, Fuller was inside his home when he went out the back door and saw that his garage was on fire. The garage was a total loss with the car inside. His mobile home was also damaged.

Someone else that came to the home said they saw two people run from the garage into the woods beside the house.

An investigation is underway. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and convictions of the persons responsible for the fire.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department at (731) 364-5454.
