Additional charges expected for doctor accused of wife’s murder

Saline County, Illinois, State’s Attorney Michael Henshaw says new charges will soon be announced against a doctor accused of murdering his estranged wife and burning her body. 

Henshaw says new charges against Dr. Brian Burns will be announced in Harrisburg around 1 p.m. Wednesday. 

Burns has been charged with first degree murder and concealment of homicidal death in the death of Carla Burns. Last month, a trial date was set for March of next year
