No contact order put in place against man running for Williamson County State’s Attorney

A judge has granted a Franklin County woman an order of protection against a Marion lawyer running for Williamson County State’s Attorney.

Duane Verity of Verity and Associates is the Republican candidate running against Democratic Incumbent Brandon Zanotti for the state’s attorney seat this November. A judge signed a two year no contact order against Verity on Tuesday.

Before the judge signed the order, the terms were negotiated privately Tuesday morning.

The order will prevent Verity from having any verbal, digital or similar contact with the woman.
