2 injured in Kentucky 286 wreck

Two people were taken to a local hospital Friday after a wreck on Kentucky 286 in McCracken County, according to sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies say one vehicle involved was driving southbound on McKendree Church Road when the driver tried to stop at a stop sign where it intersects with KY 286. But his vehicle slid on the wet road past the sign and into the path of the other vehicle, which was westbound on Kentucky 286.

The two drivers — 32-year-old Daniel Coats of Wickliffe and 32-year-old Zach Stovall of Cape Girardeau, Missouri — were taken to Baptist Health Paducah by Mercy Regional EMS. Deputies say their injuries were not incapacitating.
