Multiple people injured in Graves County car crash

Multiple people were injured in a car crash in Graves County Thursday.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office say the crash happened on State Route 131 approximately 3 miles from Mayfield.

Deputies say Howard Morgan was heading north on State Route 131 when he saw a pick up truck in the southbound lane crossing the center line.

Morgan said he tried to get over as far as he could, but was still side-swiped by the truck.

Morgan was taken to a local hospital with a minor head injury and possible a broken leg. Three other passengers in Morgan’s car had minor injuries but were not taken to the hospital.

A juvenile sitting in the back seat was later taken to the ER by her mother with possible glass in her eye.

The driver of the pick-up truck, Anthony Poe, was not injured. He told deputies that he fell asleep while driving.
