Wingo man injured in semi crash

A Wingo man was injured in a semi crash Thursday evening.

The crash happened around 6:25 p.m. at the intersection of US 45 South and Wray Road.

Deputies say 69-year-old Brantferd McClure was driving a semi west on Wray Road when a medical condition caused him to lose consciousness as he approached the intersection of US 45 South.

The semi continued on Wray Road, went through the intersection, left the road, and hit an embankment.

No other cars were involved in the crash.

McClure was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
