Ballard County man arrested in McCracken County on drug charges

A Ballard County man was arrested in McCracken County on drug charges.

Detective with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department drug division received information that there was illegal drug activity at a home at 3905 Coleman Cut Road.

A search was done at the home at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. 

During the search, 42-year-old Deron Wooley of Lovelaceville arrived at the home.

Detective found a syringe that was suspected to contain methamphetamine on Wooley’s person. Detectives also found an additional loaded syringe with methamphetamine, a burnt spoon, and two sets of digital scales inside a bedroom of the home that Wooley said was his.

Wooley was on felony probation at the time for other drug offenses. He was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wooley was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
