Jackson County deputies investigate park theft

The Jackson County Illinois Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft at Castle Park off Giant City Road in Carbondale Sunday morning.

Deputies were called to the park and looked through surveillance video and found a group of people taking items from the park. Three of the suspects were seen driving away in a silver Nissan SUV.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says the people involved in the thefts have been identified. An investigation is ongoing.
