Two southern Illinois men die in I-57 crash

Illinois State Police say two men were killed in a crash on I-57 Sunday morning.

Trooper tell Local 6 John Savitz, 52 of Goreville, and Wesley Savitz, 34, of Carbondale, died after they were involved in a crash in the northbound lane near mile marker 49.

John Savitz lost control of his car, crossed the median and hit the barrier.  The car ended up in the southbound lane.

The Williamson County coroner and Illinois State police are investigating. 

No one else was hurt.
