Local school hosting bone marrow drive

A local school is hosting a bone marrow drive for a man who can’t find a match.

Ben Spencer has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and is in need of a bone marrow transplant.

To help him find a match, a marrow donor registry drive will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the North Marshall Middle School Library located at 3110 KY 95 in Calvert City.

It’s easy to be a bone marrow donor. You just need to be between the ages of 18 to 44, meet health guidelines, fill out a form, and have a swab of the inside of your cheek taken.
