Man sentenced to prison for LaCenter shooting

A judge sentenced a man accused of murder and attempted murder out of Ballard County to life without parole on 25 years plus 20 years on the attempted murder charge.

Shaquille Edwards plead guilty to the shooting death of his cousin, 18-year-old Theresa Hughes, and the shooting of 21-year-old Caitlin Houston. Houston survived.

The shooting happened in February at a home on Locust Street in LaCenter.
