Here are six things to know for today.

Adults, teens and children as young as 2 were enjoying a summer afternoon by cooling off in an Arizona creek when the gentle waters turned deadly. Rescuers recovered the remains of five children and four adults. A 13-year-old boy from the same group was still missing Sunday.

Federal charges could be filed against a McCracken County attorney today. Grant King is accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars in settlement money from his clients.

A publicist for Martin Landau says the Oscar-winning actor and star of the "Mission: Impossible" TV series has died. Landau died Saturday of unexpected complications during a short stay at UCLA Medical Center. He had just celebrated his 89th birthday.

Give yourself plenty of time if you need to drive across the Tennessee River Bridge on Interstate 24 this week. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be inspecting the bridge. A lane will be closed every day this week.

You’ll need to slow down to drive down a section of Elmdale Road in Paducah. Crews will be working on improving safety and drainage near the entrance to St. Mary’s Middle and High School.

Tickets for this year’s Telethon of Stars Celebration Concert go on sale this morning. Country singer Sara Evans is this year’s headliner. All of the money raised will go to help people in our community with special needs.
