WKCTC names new Vice President of Academic Affairs

West Kentucky Community and Technical College has a new Vice President of Academic Affairs.

The school announced Monday that it had appointed Dr. David Heflin of Symsonia to the position.

He is taking over for Dr. Tena Payne who retired on June 30.

Dr. Heflin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiology from Missouri State University, and worked 14 years as a registered songrapher and registered radiographer before joining WKCTC full-time in 2008.

Before being named Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Heflin served as associate vice president of academic affairs and director of curriculum.

"We are honored to have Dr. Heflin take this new position on our leadership team," said WKCTC President Anton R. Reece. "He brings with him an impressive track record in academic affairs and student success."
