Earthquake hits near Caruthersville, Missouri

A small earthquake hit southeast Missouri Thursday night.

The U.S. Geological Survey says a 2.1 magnitude quake hit just outside Caruthersville at 9:27 p.m.

The earthquake was about 5 miles southwest of Caruthersville.
