Tennessee’s girl death being investigated as homicide

Police in Goodlettsville, Tennessee are investigating the death of a 12-year-old girl as a homicide. That is according to WSMV.

Police say Yhoana Arteaga was found dead in her family’s mobile home Thursday night.

Her mother says had lunch with her daughter around 12:30 p.m. before going to work. She had also reportedly communicated with Yhoana as late as 5:30 p.m.

The mother says when she returned home around 6:30 p.m., she found her daughter in distress and called 911. Yhoana was pronounced dead at the scene when crews arrived.

Police say the death appears suspicious. They are trying to find out who Yhoana had been with between the time she had lunch with her mother and when her mother returned from work.
