LYON COUNTY, KY- If you plan to drive on Interstate 24 between Eddyville and Cadiz, expect delays the next few weeks.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet wants to seal concrete joints on a section of the interstate in both the eastbound and westbound lanes. Work will be between mile marker 43 and 50 and begin on November 28.

Crews will begin by working along the right side of the eastbound lanes, which will force traffic going to Nashville, TN to move to the left side (or passing lane). Then workers will seal joints along the passing lane before starting all over in the westbound lanes.

The agency expects the work to take about two to three weeks.
