Lynnville woman arrested in Graves County pedestrian hit-and-run

GRAVES COUNTY, KY — A Lynnville woman has been arrested in connection to a pedestrian hit and run.

Around 7:00 p.m. Monday night, 33-year-old Richard Poindexter of Mayfield was hit by a car. Poindexter was walking on KY 564 between Farmington and Tri City when he was hit.

Poindexter was found on the road by another driver after he had been hit. He remains in critical condition in a Evansville, Indiana hospital.

Evidence left at the scene and information called into the Graves County Sheriff’s Office lead deputies to 24-year-old Morgan Borens of Lynnville.

During an interview, she confessed to hitting Poindexter with her car. After she hit Poindexter she left the scene and drove home.

Borens was taken to the Graves County Jail. She was charged with assault 1st degree, no insurance, leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid with death or serious physical injury involved, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
