List: local warming centers

With temperatures well below freezing, many communities are opening up warming centers. If you have a warming center you would like added to the list, please e-mail us the information at




Community Kitchen at 1237 Martin Luther King Jr Drive, Paducah

  • Open from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 a.m.
  • Those who want to stay overnight must be at the warming center before 10:00 p.m.
  • The Community Kitchen will serve as a warming center whenever the temperatures are 40 or below.

Community Building at 1600 Park Avenue in Benton, KY

  • Daily, 4 p.m.- 6 a.m.
  • Open until further notice

Hardin Community Center at 112 High School Street in Hardin, KY

  • Daily, 6 p.m.-6 a.m.
  • Open until further notice

Mayfield, KY

  • For those who need a warming center, contact Mayfield Police Department to make arrangements with a local church: 270-247-1621

First Baptist Church in Mayfield, KY

  • The church will serve as a warming center from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Requests for further needs can be made for consideration.
