Man charged in death of Union City TN man

FULTON COUNTY, KY — A man has been charged in the death of a Union City, Tennessee man.

On Friday, December 29, 2017, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and Obion County Sheriff’s Office were called to a crash at the intersection of Highway 239 and State Line Road.

Deputies found that a semi traveling north on Highway 21 in Tennessee failed to stop at the intersection at State Line Road.

The semi hit a vehicle being driven by Randall Pope of Union City Tennessee. Pope died of his injuries late Monday night.

The driver of the semi, Dudarev Petrovich, was charged with reckless homicide, disregarding a stop sign, and no registration plates.

Petrovich is currently in the Obion County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Fulton County.
