White Plains, KY man arrested for DUI after open alcoholic container was found in car

HOPKINS COUNTY, KY — A White Plains, Kentucky man was arrested on a DUI and drug charges Wednesday night.

Kentucky State Police say just before 10:00 p.m., a trooper pulled over a car on South Lee Trover Todd Highway in Earlington with only one headlight.

The trooper said the driver, 35-year-old Ryan Lantrip, was under the influence. The trooper also searched the car and found marijuana, an open alcohol beverage container, and various pills.

Lantrip was arrested and taken to the Hopkins County Detention Center.

He was charged with one headlight, possession of an open alcohol container in motor vehicle prohibited, possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc. .08- 1st offense, and possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense- drug unspecified.
