Crews responding to crash on I-24 near Pennyrile Parkway

UPDATE: Kentucky State Police say they are investigating a deadly crash on Interstate 24.

Troopers say a collision involving multiple vehicles happened just before 10 a.m. in the westbound lanes around mile marker 79. They confirm one person has died.


CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY — Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash on Interstate 24 near the Pennyrile Parkway.

Kentucky State Police say the crash happened near mile marker 79 and possibly involves a semi.

Video sent in by viewers show fire and black smoke coming from the crash site.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
