MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY — A man and woman have been arrested in McCracken County after sheriff’s deputies say the man intentionally set fire to the home where the two live.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says it was contacted by the West McCracken Fire Department around 6:47 a.m. to look into a suspicious house fire on Warford Road in Kevil. Detectives say they learned 47-year-old Donald Goldsberry, 44-year-old Adrienne Smith and a 15 year old were in the home at the time of the fire.

Investigators say it appears that the fire was intentionally set in the bathroom, near the room where Smith was sleeping at the time. The sheriff’s office alleges that Goldsberry admitted to setting the fire, and that he knew other people were in the home at the time.
